Visual
Design Instructor
Kristen Eddy earned her Bachelor
of Fine Arts degree from Slippery Rock University.
She concentrated in Metalsmithing and Fibers, winning
awards for her designs and academic achievements.
While attending school she managed the Student Union’s
Graphic Art Department for three years.
Currently, Kristen owns and
operates Eddy Studio where she believes in “pushing the envelope.” She
has created innovative designs in a variety of two
and three-dimensional mediums. Her graphic work includes
items such as magazine and book cover designs, technical
illustrations, trade show banners, newsletters and
logos seen throughout the greater Pittsburgh area and
Florida. While working for an international group in
Pittsburgh she designed a DVD interface for a global
electronics manufacturer. Some of her three-dimensional
work includes fused silver and beaded jewelry along
with the design and production of a line of custom
shirts.
Kristen’s professional experience with organizations
such as the Automobile Trade Association, Pro-Mod Racing,
Recreational Soccer Clubs and industries like Health & Senior
Care, Retail Apparel and Food Distribution give her
a well balanced background to assist the young artists
of Oakbridge Academy of Arts in finding their unique
niche in the working world.
Kristen lives in the country with her husband, David
and two sons, Dane and Bryce. She enjoys tending to
her perennials and photographing wild flowers and insects
to recharge her creative energy.
